Deputy involved in major crash in Tulare County, sheriff's office says

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A deputy with the Tulare County Sheriff's Office was involved in what officials say was a "major traffic accident" near Orosi on Thursday.
According to the sheriff's office, the unidentified deputy crashed near the area of Avenue 412 and Road 136 which is around two miles east of Orosi. Both the deputy and the driver of the other vehicle involved were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Pictures from the scene show a power pole on the ground at the scene of the crash.
The circumstances of the crash were not released by the Tulare County Sheriff's Office. The investigation into the incident is being managed by the California Highway Patrol.
