WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) -- A former Wichitan who appeared on "The Voice" last year and who was in the movie "Killers of the Flower Moon" has returned to town. A.J. Harvey will sing at Brickyard in Old Town this Friday night, Oct. 18. In "Killers of the Flower Moon," Harvey played Charlie Whitehorn. On "The Voice," he was a member of Team Dan + Shay. His time on the show was cut short during the battle rounds. Click here for his blind audition, where he performed “Girl From the North Country” by Bob Dylan. "I didn't know what to expect going into the show, and I wouldn't have done anything like that on my own," Harvey said during a visit to KSN News at Noon on Thursday. "I just was put in the right place at the right time, and it's kept me busy." Driver gets whopping fine for speeding in Kansas town The Southeast High alum, who now lives in Oklahoma, says he has some new music coming out soon. For the Friday night concert, he will be joined on stage by Harrison Steele, a Wichita native who appeared on "American Idol." The show begins at 9 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door. The Brickyard is at 129 N. Rock Island Road. We asked Harvey what concert-goers can expect to hear. "It's a nice mix of an homage to what I grew up listening to, B-98 here in Wichita, you know, classic rock from the 80s and early 90s, and pop singer-songwriters from the 2000s," he said. "So new stuff, old stuff and songs. We just love to play as a band, so anything and everything for everybody."
