10% of active voters have now cast ballots in Georgia

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - In less than three full days of Early Voting, just over 10% of registered voters in the state of Georgia have now cast a ballot for the 2024 General Election.
The figure was reported by Gabriel Sterling, Chief Operating Officer in the Office of the Georgia Secretary of State, in an X post at 1:14 p.m. on Thursday, October 17.
As of 12:30 we are at 110,858 votes cast today. All in so far with early and accepted absentees we have seen 741,297 votes cast. That equals 10.3% turnout of our active voters. Tuesday set a new record for combined absentee and early votes cast on the first day of early voting in the state. With 328,000 votes cast, it surpassed the 2020 Election by 123%.
