OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The Oklahoma City Police Department (OKCPD) is seeking men and women interested in its next semi-annual hiring event at its training center on November 16, 2024. According to OKCPD, participants can expect a open-house-style event that is hosted twice a year for those interested in joining OKCPD with a first hand inside view of what it's like to become and be an officer in Oklahoma City. Participants can expect to have the opportunity to ask questions about their respective positions and see cool videos while grabbing some OKCPD swag. The Tactical Team will also allow participants to try out some scenarios in the shoot-house utilizing sim guns while getting a up close look at police equipment included the helicopter, Bomb Squad Truck/Robot, Tactical Team Bear Cat, drone demonstrations, Bricktown Bike Patrol, Motorcycle Unit and K9's (patrol and therapy) dogs, says OKCPD Recruiting Sergeant Sgt.
