MARIANNA, Ark. — Arkansas State Police are investigating a murder of a Little Rock man in Marianna. Danny Jordan, 25, was found shot to death Tuesday night at an apartment complex he was known to frequent. Police found him lying in an open walkway between apartments. "It's heartbreaking to see somebody, anyone, lose their life, but that's what we deal with in today's society," said Edwin Campbell, who manages South Pointe Apartments in Marianna. "We have random shootings with kids with guns, but nothing this serious, of this caliber." Even though Jordan was not listed as a resident of South Pointe Apartments, he was well known in this complex and people who knew him are shocked by what's happened. Danny Jordan (submitted photo) Police officer helped steal thousands in Crime Stoppers rewards Sesia Dowden of Marianna described him as a "good young fella, no trouble maker or nothing." NeKesia Williams, who grew up with Jordan and considered him a brother, learned of his death the hard way. "We came outside, seen the police, and people were telling us, 'You don't want to know who it is, you don't want to know who it is,'" Williams said. "When I went over there they told me it was my friend Danny." She can't believe her closest friend is gone.               "Even if he made you mad, you could not get rid of Danny. He was always on you like that. Like, he was going to make you love him," Williams said. 📡 See more breaking news, local news and weather from WREG.com for Memphis and the Mid-South. 📧 Sign up for WREG newsletters and have the latest top stories sent right to your inbox.
