GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Ahead of Election Day on Nov. 5, Beaumont Elementary officials are hoping that people will vote yes on a Green Bay Area Public School District Referendum. If passed, several schools, including Beaumont Elementary will reportedly receive facility improvements that are much needed. Beaumont is one of the schools that will take in extra students due to boundary changes, which could see an increase of about 64 students starting in 2026-27. What’s the Coolest Thing Made In Wisconsin? Winner of annual contest announced Beaumont provided a tour of their school in order to show off the school and what could potentially use improvements. In an email following the tour, the Green Bay Area Public School District explained that the following locations will need improvements, as covered during the tour: Entrance/Office Area Needs expansion and entryway to be ADA-compliant 4K/5K Area Addition of restrooms Gym Serves as cafeteria as well as gymnasium Intellectual Disabilities restroom across the hall Ideally restroom in a classroom and restroom is not ADA-compliant Lockers Plan to replace them, they're original to the building Interventionists/Specialists Work Space Appropriate workspaces added Staff lounge Boiler Room Green Bay Area Public School District's Chief Operations Officer Cale Pulczinski said the referendums are critical to accommodating the needs of students. Wisconsin Public Service hosts energy career fair at NWTC for area high school students "That's why we have to go back to these referendums and we ask the taxpayers to support the upkeep of our buildings and changing needs of our students," Pulczinski said.
