GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - The Downtown Green Bay Neighborhood Association celebrated the unveiling of its new sign on North Washington Street on Thursday afternoon. In attendance was a variety of guests, including Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich. What’s the Coolest Thing Made In Wisconsin? Winner of annual contest announced "Green Bay is a city of neighborhoods," Mayor Genrich said. "I think we're really well known for the number of neighborhood associations that we have established throughout the city going back 20+ years." Christie Barlament, the president of the Downtown Green Bay Neighborhood Association, said the sign was made from scratch after the association was re-established a year ago. "We got it all re-established and created the new sign from scratch," Barlament said. "It used to be under the West Mason Street Bridge. I worked with Schreiber's corporate office and they were so gracious to let us use this space." Wisconsin Public Service hosts energy career fair at NWTC for area high school students Barlament said they wanted to emphasize downtown and the city deck landing area, to show off the events and what Downtown Green Bay offers.
