(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A man has been charged in connection to the May 2024 shooting death of of 45-year-old Darryl Edward Scurry Jr. According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers originally responded around 6 a.m. on May 23 to a reported shooting near the southbound off-ramp of I-25 at South Nevada Avenue. On Oct. 10, an arrest warrant was issued for 22-year-old Vonrobert Kennedy for Scurry's murder.
