(COLORADO SPRINGS) -- A brand-new wine bar has popped up on the north side of Colorado Springs. "We got engaged at a winery in Napa, and we've just been wine people sort of the whole time that we've known each other," expressed Sheryl. The couple moved to Colorado Springs from Washington state's wine country and noticed a lack of local wine options. "We wanted someplace to go to drink good wine. And up here on the north side, we found that there were not as many options as we would have liked," Sheryl said. "I honestly couldn't say what happened. But one thing led to another, and we built the place that we wanted to come to." At My Cellar, the focus is on learning, not just labels. Sheryl explains their motto: "If you like a wine, it's good. And if you don't like it, it's not good." The wine bar pours over 45 wines by the glass, giving guests plenty of chances to explore and taste different options. The couple noted that it's a great opportunity to chat with the staff about what they like and discover new favorites—perfect for both old and new friends. They are simplifying the experience from the glass to the menu. Think delicious charcuterie, paninis, and unique bites that pair perfectly with their offerings. "You're going to find foods that go with a wide variety of wines, and they're super simple. We don't even have a hood, so we don't fry, we don't grill, we have a thermogenic oven and a panini press that are kind of our workhorses in there," Sheryl explained. Every sip tells a story at My Cellar, and every season is a chance to try something new. They recently launched their fall menu, allowing more exploration of the medium-bodied reds and more complexity in the whites. The couple brings nearly 30 years of wine-loving experience to the table and invites everyone to share in the connection and community.
