Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles offices are canceling driver’s license appointments Thursday amid a statewide outage, state officials said. State officials didn’t say what caused the outage, but said Coloradans who have appointments at state driver’s license offices to get or renew a driver’s license, ID card or instruction permit will need to reschedule their visits. Online driver’s license and ID services are also unavailable during the outage, DMV officials said in a news release. DMV offices are still able to issue written permit tests, endorsements and commercial driver’s license permits, motor vehicle records and requests for a hearing, state officials said. County motor vehicle offices are not impacted by the outage. State officials were not sure when in-office and online services would be restored on Thursday morning.
