(KRON) -- Authorities in Oakland are investigating a shooting that unfolded Wednesday near an elementary school on Market Street, according to the Oakland Police Department. Police responded to a report of a shooting just after 9:15 p.m. on the 1100 block of Market Street. Arriving officers did not locate any victims, but evidence of a shooting was found, OPD said. Not long after officers investigated the scene, police were notified of a victim with a gunshot wound or wounds arriving at a local hospital. The victim was treated for their injuries and was listed in stable condition, according to OPD. Relative arrested after two decomposing bodies found in Antioch home Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School shares the block with the reported incident location.
