RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News is your local election headquarters. All five Richmond mayoral candidates are set to participate in an entirely student-run debate on Thursday, Oct. 17.  The first-of-its-kind debate will be moderated by two Armstrong High Schoolers, AP Government students Renecia Allen and Zion Lundy. Richmond Public School leaders said the goal of the debate is to educate young voters and encourage civic participation.    The debate will be called the Henry L. Marsh Mayoral Forum, named after the first Black mayor of Richmond. Marsh is set to have the opening remarks, and then will hand the spotlight over to the student moderators and mayoral candidates.   The debate is not open to the public. However, seven other Richmond Public Schools have been invited to watch. The debate begins at 11 a.m. at Armstrong High School.     The last mayoral debate of the election cycle is Wednesday, Oct. 23.
