INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Metropolitan police are investigating after a woman was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Red Roof Inn on the city's west side Wednesday night. Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched around 9:03 p.m. to 2631 S. Lynhurst Drive, the listed address for Red Roof Inn, after receiving reports that a shooting had occurred in the area. IMPD said officers arrived on the scene and found a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead on the scene, according to IMPD. The Marion County Coroner's Office identified her Thursday as 23-year-old Chasidy Hahn. While the investigation into the circumstances of Wednesday's fatal shooting remains in the early stages, IMPD said preliminary information appeared to indicate the shooting likely stemmed from a disturbance in the parking lot of the business. No suspects or persons of interest have been identified or detained by police at this time. IMPD said detectives were trying to access video surveillance footage documenting the moments leading up to the deadly incident. Anyone with information related to Wednesday's shooting should call IMPD at 317-327-3475 or Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS (8477). Officers also responded to the 700 block of Hiatt Street on the city's near west side around 8:51 p.m. where they found another person who had been shot. They were last reported to be awake and breathing.
