      CLARENDON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Multiple people have been arrested in connection with the distribution of illegal narcotics, according to the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office. The sheriff’s office say the investigation began around 8 months ago and concluded in the arrest of over 8 people. Clarendon County combined narcotics unit which comprised of agents from the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office and the Manning Police Department worked on the arrests. Curtis Lawson, 37, of Summerton, was charged with 3 counts of distribution of crack cocaine. Lamar Bennett, 50, of Summerton, was charged with distribution of crack cocaine, and distribution near a school. Andre Gardner, 29, of Summerton, was charged with distribution of crack cocaine, and distribution near a school. Kasey Ellis, 34, of Manning, was charged with distribution of methamphetamine, and distribution near a school. Orion Thompson, 25, of Manning, was charged with distribution of crack cocaine, and distribution near a school. Michael Tate, 26, of Manning, was charged with distribution of methamphetamine, and distribution near a school. Dominic White, 25, of Manning, was charged with distribution of crack cocaine, and distribution near a school. Vauntravius Brown, 29, of Summerton, was charged with distribution of crack cocaine, and distribution near a school. Ronald Conyers, 54, of Manning, was charged with distribution of crack cocaine, and distribution near a school. Daniel Hall, 62, of Alcolu, was charged with distribution of methamphetamine, trafficking methamphetamine, and distribution near a school. Kevin Slater, 43, of Manning, was charged with distribution of crack cocaine. Vijay Campbell, and Kevin Bates are still wanted in connection to the investigation, which is still ongoing.
