BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A pedestrian has died after he was hit by a pickup truck next to Union Cemetery in east Bakersfield Wednesday evening. The fatal collision happened at 7:30 p.m., on Oct. 16th in the 900 block of South King Street. Investigators say the pedestrian was in the roadway, outside of a crosswalk, when he was struck by a green pickup traveling southbound. The driver of the pickup remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators investigation.
