Ballots in Utah will be mailed out next week.  I ask that you vote early and vote for my sister Megan McKenna. I have known Megan longer than anyone else in Summit County and I guarantee she has the drive, intelligence, passion and heart for the job of our Summit County councilor. She went to elementary school through high school in Summit County. She has worked as a babysitter, baker, server, ski patroller, teacher and currently works as an affordable housing advocate, all in Summit County. She has sat on numerous boards and attended endless meetings. She is involved, she is persistent and she is seen and heard in the community. She has rented several houses in Old Town, Prospector, Summit Park, Silver Springs and now owns her own and has had great parties at all of them. She takes public transport and/or ebikes every day as part of her commitment to the environment. She hikes, bikes, skis tours and enjoys the open space in our community every single day.Megan fought American Skiing Company for better wages and working conditions and Vail Resorts for access to public lands. As a teacher, she advocated for her fellow teachers and students every day for a better and safer school environment, and currently she advocates for those who live and work in this county and desperately need access to affordable housing. Megan is a constant voice in Summit County whether it is protecting land or protecting people. If you reach out to Megan, she will respond to you, she will listen to you, she will show up for you and she will be your voice. A vote for Megan McKenna is vote for a fresh voice on the council.
