NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — The North Attleboro Police Department is mourning the loss of Richard Rogers, a retired police officer who died after being struck by a vehicle.
On Oct. 11, Rogers was riding his bicycle on South Washington Street when a car struck him, according to North Attleboro Police.
Police said Rogers had recently retired as a special police officer, and would take up jobs when nobody else would during his time in the police force.
North Attleboro police posted to Facebook that Officer Rogers was “an all around great guy to be around, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.”
