APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) — The Appleton Public Library will return to its renovated facility at 225 N. Oneida St. this fall. The current library, located at 3000 E. College Ave., will close on Monday, Nov. 25, to prepare for the transition. The library is set to reopen at the original site in early 2025, with an exact date to be announced once the construction schedule is finalized. During this period, library staff will remain available by phone Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., at 920-832-6173, or via email. Materials can be checked out from the E. College Ave. location until Nov. 25, and due dates will be extended during the closure. Items may be returned at any InfoSoup library, and the outdoor book drop at E. College Ave. will stay open until Dec. 30. Starting Nov. 12, holds with Appleton as the pickup location will be paused. However, customers can still place and suspend holds until the library reopens, with the option to select alternate pickup locations at other InfoSoup libraries. Curbside pickup will be available until Nov. 23 and will resume once the library reopens. Neenah Police Department teams up to donate nonperishables to hurricane victims in North Carolina Interlibrary loan services will restart soon after the reopening. Meanwhile, one-on-one local history, genealogy, job connection, and small business assistance will be offered virtually. Patrons can stay connected to library services through online resources using their library card, allowing access to digital content via the library's website.
