CARLSBAD, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- More than 5,000 people were without power in Carlsbad Wednesday morning, according to the San Diego Gas and Electric outage map. The map reported the outage started shortly before 11:30 a.m. and affected 5,331 SDG&E customers in the Carlsbad and La Costa communities. Most customers had their power restored by 2 p.m. SDG&E said the outage appeared to be caused by a foreign object coming into contact with power lines. This is a developing story.
