Providence College Press Release PROVIDENCE, R.I. –Providence College Athletics hosted an NIL Media Day presented by Opendorse, the leading Name Image and Likeness marketplace and technology company, on Wednesday, October 16.  The full-day event took place in the Friar Ruane Development Center on the campus of Providence College.  More than 200 student-athletes participated in the event, where they engaged in opportunities for prospects and partners.  Providence Friar Sports Properties and the Friar Family Collective also played significant roles in the day. The event consisted of five expert-staffed content creation stations, leading to 10 unique experiences. Topics covered during the event included personal branding, networking, sponsor activation best practices and media training.  Student-athletes will receive content from their participation to use on their social channels, including a professional-quality headshot. Student-athletes have the opportunity to partner with brands before, during and after the event. Content captured during Media Day is co-owned by Providence and Opendorse and will be packaged to resell to secure new sponsors and brand partners for athletes. The high-quality production shoot on the PC campus was led by Julian Valentin, Opendorse’s VP of Partner Success, who has 10 years of experience with MLB marketing and digital execution. In addition to trusted NIL partner Opendorse, who handled run of show, all production and filming was executed by an athlete-focused creative agency called ByUs Media. The on-site staff featured former athletes who specialize in Gen Z content creation. Opendorse and ByUs Media handled all the production, from planning and coordination to editing and post-production – allotting for 510+ fully edited video and photo pieces.
