PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Attorney General Peter Neronha said a Florida man has been found guilty of sexually assaulting a female victim under the age of 14 multiple times between 2015 and 2016. 40-year-old Chad Lavallee, of Ruskin, Fla., was found guilty on Oct. 15 for three counts of first-degree child molestation and two counts of second-degree child molestation. Neronha said Lavallee knew the victim, and assaulted her in Cumberland and Lincoln. In 2020, the victim reported the abuse. Following the report, the defendant then relocated to Florida, where he was taken into custody before being deported back to Rhode Island. Lavallee is currently being held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions where he is waiting to be sentenced. Categories: News, Providence, Rhode Island
