STILLWATER, Okla. (KFOR) - An Oklahoma State fraternity is back in Stillwater after helping victims of Hurricane Helene in Tennessee. "That was a super eye opening experience for the guys that went down there," said Corbin Lacy. Lacy's perspective is forever changed. On October 7, we told you how Lacy and his OSU Farmhouse Fraternity planned a trip from Stillwater to Butler, Tennessee. The small town was hit hard by Hurricane Helene. RELATED STORY: OSU Farmhouse members to help Hurricane Helene victims "In one week, we pretty much we raised $21,000. So yeah, it was crazy," said Lacy. After that, it was all gas no breaks. With trucks and trailers loaded with canned food and supplies, Lacy and 14 other guys hit the road on Thursday. When they arrived to the mountain town, they found a local church grateful for their help. Their stockpile and spirits were piled high. They all stood around in a circle and sang "I've got friends in low places" by Garth Brooks. "They were all just enjoying it and thankful we were there," said Lacy. The Farmhouse boys were happy to help, but shocked as they continued down the washed out roads. "There was a fire station right by this road and the whole entire fire station got washed away. And they haven't found one fire truck," said Lacy. Trees were snapped like toothpicks, trailers were overturned, and homes were destroyed. "Four foot of water, got inside of their house," said Lacy. "We started ripping up these wooden floors that he just had installed. It was super labor intensive just doing this." After a weekend full of hard work, the cowboys packed up and arrived home on Sunday. With new friends and a new outlook. "Do what you know is right and don't let anybody stop you," said Lacy. They wish they could go back and help more.
