NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)— Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concepts operates dozens of businesses in the city of New Orleans with more than 1,000 employees. "It's been so amazing. God has just stepped in and done miraculous deeds in my life. It's been so amazing to say I have a place to call my own. Me and my son have a place to go to and I don't have to wake up and worry about where I will lay my head," Lynhaven resident Shannon Sibley. A very grateful Shannon Sibley is a resident of Lynhaven, a satellite campus for the New Orleans Mission. This 18 acres in Hammond houses 55 women along with 21 women and children. Southern University at New Orleans opens new campus counseling center "It's a place where a woman becomes a new person. The person she was crafted for. She's finding her identity, her healing, her health, her heart, job skills, so really just becoming a whole person," said CEO of New Orleans Mission David Bottner. The Ammari family operates Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concepts and through their long-term partnership with the mission are responsible for at least one of the housing units named in honor of Richy Ammari. "There's just so much need, especially in the last 3-4 years from COVID to now the need is even bigger because of the economy and everything else going on. We felt we need to get involved," CEO of Creole Cuisine Restaurant Concepts Marviani Ammari. Getting involved also includes donating money to help people suffering from diabetes. The Ammari's faith has driven their efforts to help. It's really sharing the love of God with them," said Marviani Ammari. The second annual Creole Cuisine Cares Gala is Wednesday, Oct. 16 at Broussard's and participation ensures that women like Sibley have someplace safe for their family.
