Inmate convicted of manslaughter in 2020 death at Kentucky State Reformatory

LAGRANGE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – An inmate at the Kentucky State Reformatory in LaGrange has been convicted of manslaughter in connection to the 2020 death of a fellow inmate, according to a report from Kentucky State Police Post 5.
The investigation began on November 22, 2020, when DeCarlo Conn was found unresponsive at the facility. He was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The police investigation revealed that Conn had been involved in a physical altercation with another inmate, Glenn Odom.
Odom was subsequently indicted for murder, tampering with physical evidence, and being a persistent felony offender. However, after a jury trial in Oldham County Circuit Court from October 7 to October 11, 2024, he was found guilty of second-degree manslaughter, tampering with physical evidence, and second-degree persistent felony offender status.
Formal sentencing for Odom is scheduled for November 26, 2024.
