ORANGRBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Students in the Midlands took a stand against gun violence on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
Students across the area took part in Day of National Concern, a day for students to pledge that gun-violence is not inevitable and honors the role that young people themselves can play in helping to reverse violence.
In Orangeburg, students heard from family members who lost loved ones to gun violence.
Organizers say since 1996, more than 10 million students have signed the student pledge against gun violence.
