BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A Toronto man with citizenship in Canada, the U.S. and the Bahamas pleaded guilty after meeting up with an officer in Buffalo whom he believed could smuggle firearms into Canada, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced Wednesday. 29-year-old Jeshua Lion Myers, also known as Dually, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit firearms trafficking. In December 2023, Myers arranged to bring firearms to an undercover officer in Western New York with the belief that the officer could illegally smuggle the firearms into Canada to give to a co-conspirator, officials said. Myers allegedly acquired the firearms from various stores and websites in Florida before bringing them up to Buffalo on Dec. 20. Myers provided 19 firearms to the officer in exchange for $33,000, according to officials. In addition, he also provided high capacity magazines, ammunition and other weapons components. Nearly two months later, on Feb. 13, Myers provided around 110 additional firearms to other law enforcement officers, officials said. Myers faces a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He is scheduled to be sentenced Feb. 21.
