New Orleans Saints to be without their top two wide receivers for game against Broncos

METAIRIE, La. (BRPROUD) — The New Orleans Saints will be without their top two wide receiver threats for Thursday Night Football against the Denver Broncos.
Saints head coach Dennis Allen ruled out Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee) for Thursday's game.
The Shaheed injury could be a bigger loss for the Saints. Allen said Wednesday that Shaheed is going out to Los Angeles and will probably have surgery on a meniscus injury. Allen said there's a chance Shaheed will go on injured reserve.
Shaheed is the team's leading receiver through six weeks of the season, catching 20 passes for 349 yards and three touchdowns. The All-Pro return specialist also returned a punt in Week 6 for a touchdown.

Olave suffered a concussion in the first quarter of Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The likelihood of him progressing through concussion protocol in time for Thursday's game was low due to the short turnaround. Olave missed a game last season due to a concussion.
Olave is the Saints' second-leading receiver with 280 yards on 23 catches and a touchdown.
Allen also announced Wednesday that tight end Taysom Hill will be doubtful for Thursday's game with a rib injury that's sidelined him the past two games.
