This will keep thermometers in the 50s across the region, with only a few locations east of I-95 briefly touching 60 degrees. As the winds calm tonight, any cloud cover from the day will break up. The perfect combination of clear skies and calm winds will lead to overnight lows in the 30s outside the metro areas, leading to more widespread frost. Advisories and warnings will likely be issued for this threat of frost. We'll start to see a swing back toward warmer conditions by the end of the week as we enjoy repetitive sunny days. High pressure will settle across the East Coast and not budge, which is why we see so much sunshine and gradually warmer temperatures. It will still be chilly on Thursday, with the warmup beginning with highs of around 60 degrees. Thursday night will be the last colder night in the 30s we'll see for the week, which means one more round of widespread frost. Temperatures will rise more significantly on Friday, with high temperatures in the upper 60s and overnight lows in the lower 40s. Beautiful conditions will be on tap for the weekend as the warmup continues. Afternoon highs will reach the lower to middle 70s under sunny skies, with clear and calm nights to get out and about to enjoy. This massive area of high pressure still won't budge as we head into next week, with sunny skies and warm but seasonal temperatures continuing through at least next Wednesday.
