ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Seneca Park Zoo is welcoming a new lynx! Albert, a five-year-old Canada lynx, came to the zoo from Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. Albert will form a new breeding pair with Bianca, a female lynx currently living at the zoo. Albert's arrival at the zoo was recommended by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums. Monroe County Executive Adam Bello is proud the organization recognizes the zoo's quality. “The Seneca Park Zoo is committed to preserving species that are endangered or pressured in challenged habitats," Bello said. "A new breeding pair of Canada Lynx helps that mission.” Once Albert clears quarantine, he will be introduced to Bianca. Guests will get to meet Albert at the habitat in the first week of November.
