TOPEKA (KSNT) – A large portion of northeast Kansas is currently under critical fire weather conditions. At 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday, the National Weather Service (NWS) of Topeka issued a Fire Weather Watch to be in effect through to Thursday, Oct. 17. The Fire Weather Watch is in effect due to gusty winds, low humidity and dry fuel for fires. Wind is expected to be sustained at 20-30 mph from the southwest with gusts reaching 40 mph. $52m Marriott data breach lawsuit, here’s Kansas’ cut Marshall, Nemaha, Brown, Riley, Pottawatomie, Jackson, Jefferson, Geary, Morris, Wabaunsee, Shawnee, Douglas, Lyon, Osage, Franklin, Coffey and Anderson Counties will be under the watch.
