CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Chesterfield County Police Department will host an event in October to help community members safely dispose of expired and unneeded medications. Chesterfield Police will host its Medication Take-Back event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Wegmans, located at 12501 Stone Village Way. (Photo courtesy: Chesterfield County Police Department) According to police, Chesterfield Police officers, Chesterfield Sheriff's deputies and volunteers will be on hand at the event to collect unused or expired prescription, over-the-counter and veterinary medications. Residents should leave medications in their original containers. Needles and syringes will not be accepted.
