City of OKC looking for community input on 2025 GO Bond program

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - The City of Oklahoma City wants to hear from residents regarding the 2025 GO Bond program.
According to the City, a General Obligation (GO) bond is a tool that funds major infrastructure projects like building or rebuilding streets, bridges, parks, police and fire facilities, sidewalks and more. The bonds are funded by property taxes and are based on community input, street and bridge ratings, planning studies, the City Council's strategic priorities and operating impact.

"Right now, the City is asking for residents' input on what they think should be included in the GO bond," said Kristy Yager, City of OKC Public Information Officer.
There is a map at the City of OKC's website where residents can highlight where there are issues in their neighborhoods. Although the bond can't fix every problem, this helps the City identify areas of concern.
"We are gathering all this information so if residents have problems in their neighborhoods or problems with their streets or concerns about bridges, we want them to go to OKC.gov/GO and drop a pin where they have a problem." Yager added.
