TANGIPAHOA PARISH, La. (WGNO) — Troopers with the Louisiana State Police are investigating a crash that left two people dead in Tangipahoa Parish on Tuesday, Oct. 15. The LSP reported the crash happened on Louisiana Highway 1064 at Greco Road around 5:05 p.m. City of New Orleans to activate five more school zones, update signage LSP officials said an initial investigation shows that 26-year-old Devarious Robinson was driving a Chrysler north on Greco Road while a GMC was driving east, and a Chevrolet was driving west on Louisiana Highway 1064. The Chrysler then reportedly drove into the intersection and into the path of the GMC, causing it to hit the side of the Chrysler. The Chevrolet was hit by debris. A passenger in the Chrysler, identified by the LSP as 64-year-old Joe Pittman, was also pronounced dead at the scene. According to the LSP, Robinson and Pittman were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. New Orleans Police Department K-9 retires after seven years The driver of the GMC and two passengers suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the Chevrolet was uninjured. LSP officials said the investigation is ongoing, and routine toxicology samples were collected.
