MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Bechtel Parsons Blue Grass is making a significant contribution to education in Madison County by donating $100,000 to Ignite Academy. The donation aims to support the development of students pursuing careers in construction and other industries. Joe Curcio, BPBGJV Project Manager, expressed the company’s commitment to the community, stating, “In an effort to give back to the community of people we’ve known, worked with, been a part of our lives, we want to leave this gift to help with future initiatives within the community.” The funds will be used to purchase equipment for the academy’s welding technology and robotics programs. According to the superintendent of Ignite Academy, Bechtel Parsons has been a longstanding supporter of the district and has played a pivotal role in its growth. Since 2008, the joint venture has donated over $200,000 to fund teacher grants, innovative classrooms, and student scholarships, demonstrating a continued investment in the local educational landscape.
