DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — All lanes of Interstate 85 North were closed in Davidson County as the result of a "vehicle fire," according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation. The closure is in effect at Exit 102 for Lake Road, near East Davidson High School and Lawson Brown Middle School. Drivers were being told to take Exit 96 for US 64 East and continue on US 64 to NC 109 to regain access to I-85 at Exit 103. The lanes reopened at around noon.
