South Carolina State Fair introduces Sensory Friendly Morning on Oct. 17

(WCIV) — The South Carolina State Fair will hold a Sensory Friendly Morning for individuals who would like to experience the fair in a quieter environment on Oct. 17.
In collaboration with theSC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, Rides will be operating without music or flashing lights and there will be peaceful spaces within the buildings.
Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services will be in the goats/swine barn along with the petting zoo and heritage village.
Anyone seeking resources can speak with a team member at theDepartment of Disabilities and Special Needs tent, located at the entrance.
This sensory friendly morning event will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
