Multiple People Rescued By Firefighters In Southeast Charlotte Apartment Fire

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Multiple people were rescued after a fire broke out at an apartment complex in southeast Charlotte.
The fire started early Wednesday morning at Rise Blue Ridge apartments on Wallace Road near East Independence Boulevard.

It took 60 firefighters to get the fire under control in approximately 50 minutes, according to CFD. Multiple rescues were performed. MEDIC says two patients were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries and two additional patients were transported with non-life threatening injuries.
