CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) - The Palmetto H.O.P.E. Foundation has launched its 2nd Annual Pajamas for Seniors Drive, an initiative aimed at providing comfort and warmth to elderly residents in local senior living communities and nursing homes. Running from October 1 through December 1, the drive encourages community members to donate new pajamas for men and women of all sizes to ensure seniors feel cared for during the holiday season. Individuals, businesses, and organizations are invited to participate by donating brand-new pajamas at designated drop-off locations across Charleston and surrounding areas. The foundation is also seeking additional drop-off sites in North Charleston, Goose Creek, and Moncks Corner to expand the drive's reach. In addition to pajama donations, the initiative offers the chance to sponsor a senior, providing essential support and companionship during the holidays for those who may be feeling isolated. “Last year’s drive was a tremendous success, collecting over 100 pairs of pajamas. We’re eager to make an even greater impact this year,” said Dorian, Executive Director of the Palmetto H.O.P.E.
