BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- Amber Harrell of Cat Haven introduced a big and beautiful boy named Romeo. He's eight years old and weighs about 24 pounds. Romeo was previously owned but had to be surrendered to Cat Haven. Now, he's waiting for his next "furever" family to adopt him and love him. His adoption fee is $125. He's a sweet boy and gets along with other cats and people. When Romeo was previously in a home with another cat he didn't have issues with them but he kept eating their food. If you choose to adopt Romeo, just make sure he isn't eating too much food and stealing food from other cats that may be in your home. He'll just need to be on a strict diet in his new home so he can shed some pounds. If you can't adopt Romeo or any other cats, at least consider fostering. Fostering gives the cats a chance to experience living in a home and having a human take care of them. It also clears up space in the shelter for more stray cats or owner surrenders to be brought in. If that's not an option either, then you can still help Cat Haven by volunteering or donating money or supplies. Want to adopt a new pet?
