BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) -- The College of Business at Southern University is getting ready for its 22nd annual Gala On The Bluff. The annual event is part of homecoming celebrations and is a scholarship fundraiser to help students at the university pursue their dreams of earning a college education. This year, the gala will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the late Prince's Purple Rain. The headliner for the big show will be Morris Day and The Time featuring Dwayne Dopsie. Preshow entertainment will be The Harry Anderson Band. The event is set for Friday, Oct. 18 at Crowne Plaza Executive Center, 4728 Constitution Ave. in Baton Rouge. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Attire is semi-formal. Southern's homecoming game is on Saturday, Oct. 19. The football team plays against Alcorn State University.
