BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Are you heading to Tallahassee, Florida for the Southern University football game? Check out these places to eat and spend time with your family if this is your first trip to the Sunshine State. The Jaguars will play against the Florida A&M University Rattlers at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at Bragg Memorial Stadium. Monroe St.) Shula's 347 Grill offers a ton to choose from their menu. Some of their featured entrees include a fresh fish sandwich, chicken sandwich, daily market fish, maple mustard salmon, roasted chicken, crab cakes and filet medallions. Kool Beanz Cafe (921 Thomasville Road) Some of the featured entrees on the Kool Beanz Cafe menu are Cuban-spiced pork chops with mango habanero salsa, Tuscan-style lamb and Sake-teriyaki glazed salmon with sesame-roasted asparagus, sambal chutney and wasabi mashed potatoes. The Bada Bean (2500 Apalachee Parkway) The Bada Bean in Tallahassee serves classic morning eats and sandwiches, according to the restaurant's website. The restaurant offers a selection of skillets, bagel melts, breakfast wraps, omelets and sandwiches. Things to do in Tallahassee with family Tallahassee Automobile Museum (6800 Mahan Drive) The Tallahassee Automobile Museum is home to one of the largest collections in the nation. Maclay Gardens State Park (3540 Thomasville Road) According to the state's park website, "The gardens feature a picturesque brick walkway, secret garden, reflection pool, walled garden and hundreds of camellias and azaleas." Gadsden St.) Cascades Park in Tallahassee features several places of interest, including the Adderley Amphitheater, The Parkview and the Imagination Fountain. The park features trails that makeup 2.3 miles of paved pathways. According to the park's website, the trails "connect to the Capital Cascades Trail." Mission San Luis (2100 W. Tennessee St.) Mission San Luis is the home of Tallahassee's only national historic landmark. According to their website, "This 64-acre active archaeological and historic site tells the story of the intersection of these two cultures through reconstructed buildings, interpreters in period dress, and on-site demonstrations." Railroad Square Art District (661 Railroad Square) The Railroad Square Art District in Tallahassee is home to more than 70 artist studios, galleries and small shops, according to their website. The art district also features food and beverage options, including the Square Mug Cafe, Gamescape Cafe, Railroad Square Crafthouse and the Crumbox Gastgarden.
