OBN seizes more than 21K marijuana plants at Nowata Co. grows

NOWATA COUNTY, Okla. (KFOR) - The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics served search warrants at two grows in Nowata County on Tuesday.
According to OBN, its Marijuana Enforcement Teams served the warrants simultaneously at JC King Garden, LLC. and Zebra M Growers, LLC.

"This morning's operation is part of an ongoing investigation by OBN into these farms for obtaining their OBN Registrations by fraud, using 'straw ownership' schemes." said OBN Spokesperson Mark Woodward.

Officials say agents seized 21,360 marijuana plants and 518 pounds of processed marijuana. OBN anticipates arrests as the investigation continues.
"OBN is grateful for the assistance this morning by the Nowata County Sheriffs Office, the Oklahoma National Guard Counterdrug Office, the District #1 and District #3 Nowata County Commissioners Offices, Rogers County District #1 Commissioner Dale DeLozier, and the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality. We could not do these types of large-scale operations without the support of our local partners." OBN Director Donnie Anderson said.
