AUSTIN (KXAN) -- The Austin Police Department's robbery unit is asking for the public's help in identifying three people involved in an "Aggravated Robbery of an elderly person" at a Walmart parking lot in northwest Austin on Wednesday. Police said it happened at the Walmart located at 13201 North FM 620 on Wednesday at noon. The store is located near North FM 620 and Lake Creek Parkway. APD said the woman was putting her groceries in the back of her car and heading to the driver's door when she was attacked and robbed by three men, one holding a knife. They demanded the woman's purse and "threatened to kill the victim when she refused." The men then struck her numerous times in the head and the back, before taking the purse and leaving the parking lot, according to APD. APD shared descriptions of the individuals: One man was described as wearing a blue shirt and black pants. One man was described as wearing a beige shirt with an unknown design on the front and khaki shorts. One man was described as having a foreign accent. APD said a reward of up to $1,000 may be available if any information leads to an arrest. You can contact APD's robbery unit at 512-974-5092.
