HS Girls Soccer Wrap: Allentown squeezes by PDS

ALLENTOWN — The Allentown High girls team might be banged up, but it’s going to keep on fighting.
Helena Machnowsky scored in the second half off a pass from Martha Olorunnisola and the Redbirds held off Princeton Day, 1-0, on Tuesday afternoon.
Olivia Cieslak and Danielle DeCarlo combined for the shutout as Allentown (8-5-1) secured the No. 3 seed for the CVC Championships in the process.
The Panthers (6-6-1) lost for the fourth time in five games.
Princeton High 1, Lawrence 0
LAWRENCE TWP. — Kacey Howes scored off a pass from Clara Burton and the Tigers (3-8-2) edged the Cardinals (8-6) to swap spots at the bottom end of the CVC Colonial table.
WW-PN 3, Hightstown 1
HIGHTSTOWN — Prema Budhiraja scored twice, Lily Schorn added another goal and the Knights (5-8) snapped a three-game skid with a victory over the Rams (3-10).
WW-PS 4, Ewing 1
PRINCETON JCT. — Riley Duguay notched a pair of goals, Maya Montemayor and Keziah Thankachan also scored and the CVC Valley champion Pirares (7-2-2) wrapped up a perfect division campaign with a victory over the Blue Devils (3-11). Thankachan added a pair of assists. Eva Mastroianni scored for Ewing.
Nottingham 9, Trenton 2
HAMILTON — The Northstars (8-7) out-scored the Tornadoes (1-12) 6-0 in the second half after a tight opening 40 minutes.
Mount St. Dominic 3, Lawrenceville 0
CALDWELL — Three second-half goals from Isabel DeLorenzo, Mary Hladik and Gianna Camporeale sent top-seeded MSD (11-0) past the eighth-seeded Big Red (2-9-1).
