NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Republican lawyer John Deaton squared off Tuesday night in a debate for the U.S. Senate.
Deaton, 57, is looking to unseat the incumbent Democratic senator, 75, who is seeking her third term. The televised one-hour debate was hosted by WBZ-TV.
The two sparred over several topics including reproductive rights, a referendum question about the MCAS test and the ongoing migrant crisis.
The most recent poll shows Warren has a substantial lead over Deaton.
In the above video, 12 News anchor Kayla Fish recaps the debate.
