SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- A 5-year-old girl died Tuesday morning after being hit by a car in Yankton. Preliminary crash information states that a driver of a Chevy Silverado was reentering the roadway on at a four-way stop near Mulberry Street. At the same time, a 5-year-old girl was crossing the street and was hit by the truck. The driver did not see the child. County commissioners upset at accusations of treason The child was transported to a Yankton hospital where she was pronounced dead. The names of those involved have not been released at this time pending notification of family members.
