A spokeswoman for Columbus police confirmed to NBC4 at 5:38 p.m. that the missing infant had been dropped off in the area of Lachlan Landings Drive, a street north of Groveport and nearly a 20-minute drive from where they initially disappeared. The Fairfield County Sheriff's Office updated its social media post saying Burris was taken into custody. Law enforcement noted they had reason to suspect the infant was in danger at the time of the abduction.
