Chicago police are warning hardware stores of a recent trio of burglaries on the North Side.In each incident, two to four thieves broke a front glass door to a business and stole power tools from inside, police said.The burglaries happened at the following times and locations:About 5:50 a.m. Monday in the 1500 block of West Lawrence Avenue in UptownAbout 3:50 a.m. Tuesday in the 3900 block of North Lincoln Avenue in North CenterAbout 4:15 a.m. Tuesday in the 4300 block of North Central Avenue in Portage ParkThe burglars are described by police as males who wore dark clothing, face masks and gloves.
