FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The public has an opportunity to support the Special Olympics and satisfy their morning craving simultaneously in the Central Valley. Special Olympics officials announced this Friday local law enforcement agencies and Starbucks are teaming up to host "Badges with Buckets," a fundraiser for the Special Olympics Northern California. Badges with Buckets - MaderaBadges with Buckets - MercedBadges with Buckets - Fresno Over 30 Starbucks locations across Fresno, Kings, Madera, Merced, and Tulare counties will bring law enforcement personnel from numerous agencies together with Special Olympics athletes to greet customers and collect donations. Among the participating law enforcement personnel will be Fresno County's Sheriff John Zanoni who will be at the Starbucks on Ashlan and Blythe avenues. Officials say Special Olympics is law enforcement’s charity of choice worldwide, raising funds and volunteering at Special NorCal events year-round. The public can stop by a participating Starbucks on Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to show their support.
