RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Church Hill resident Drew Pryak walked out of his Church Hill home Monday morning and noticed his neighbor's tires were empty. Concerned about what happened, he watched the video his Ring camera recorded the night before. The video shows a person wearing a dark-colored hoodie walking through the neighborhood towards the driver's side of a black truck. After that, the sound of air escaping from the truck's tire can be heard as the person runs away. Around 15 minutes later, the person come back and the same sound can be heard in the video coming from another tire. “Wasn't expecting to come across anything, but you know, I spent about an hour sifting through and saw some pretty clear footage of this guy slashing tires," said Pryak. “I'm not sure if it's just some guy with a penchant for mischief or if it's something a little bit more targeted. Hopefully not the latter," said Pyrak. Pyrak said his neighbor is working to repair their truck and he has sent the video to Richmond Crime Stoppers. “Maybe it increases the risk for them in their decision making and they decide not to slash tires next time," said Pyrak. 8News reached out to the Richmond Police Department about the incident but did not hear back before the publication of this article.
